Overview
Sylvania UCC was overdue for a site re-design when they first came in for a meeting with our team. We met with them several times to discuss their vision for the new site update. After our discover meeting, we blueprinted our path, and created wireframes. Upon wireframe approval we moved into design concepts and final mockups. These mockups with then approved and developed on Accrisoft Freedom.
Home Page Overview
The first thing you see when you land on sylvaniaucc.org is a large image slideshow that gives you an idea of the atmosphere and beauty of this church. As you scroll you start to learn more about what is offered at Sylvania UCC and upcoming events.
Audio Sermons
One challenge/opportunity with this website was finding a way to include audio sermon files that their members could listen to if they missed service that week, or wanted to listen again. By incorporating a SoundCloud account and embedded playable audio files, we were able to make a custom module that answered this request. Browse a history archive of all the audio sermons and look for new posts every week.
Hero Image Slideshow
Large image slideshow that rotates through several images highlighting the community and atmosphere of Sylvania UCC. This area of the Content Management System allows them to update the home page slideshow easily and quickly which helps refresh the look and feel of the site on a regular basis.
Email Newsletter Design
We helped the Sylvania UCC update their MailChimp email template to match and reflect the new website design. Our goal with this updated HTML email template was to keep a simple row by row layout, that allows them to customize each section as needed. The footer area allows them to add buttons back to the website, as well as social media icon links.
