Heroin abuse has grown to staggering proportions in NW Ohio, and while the general public is made aware of it through the media, no one can assess the true impact of the epidemic to the community.

The collaboration reinforces the message that there is help for the addict, caregiver and local business seeking support agencies and information. This partnership now unveils one of the most comprehensive websites – a resource center that gives advice, support and information about treatment, where to seek assistance and emergency measures.
A good site for a good cause
We donated this site to the people who want to see the heroin epidemic for Toledo, and the surrounding area, end. Here at Thrive and Toledo.com, we want to be a big part of the cause to a better city and help people along the way. It was an amazing experience working on this project, from the knowledge that was gained about the epidemic, to getting the domain as a donation from an individual who had the URL that we wanted to use. This is a list of the partners who helped with the startup of this project and made it possible.
A point in the right direction
We have put a map in place that allows people to quickly find the resources they need no matter where they are. This map provides markers on hospitals, help centers, places to get Narcan, and more.
