Design & Development Internship:
Buckle your seat belt kids and get ready to take a fun ride through the fast moving world of digital marketing. Our interns are not code chimps, they become a part of our team and are given the opportunity to learn more about applying their knowledge from school to the real world. An internship will give you the opportunity to learn CMS technologies, SEO, SEM and much more. Working closely with other developers, you will learn the tools you need to become a kick-ass hybrid developer in a world of average designers and developers. You'll be included in all phases of a project, starting with creative discovery through client delivery. We'd love it if you had a at least two years of school under your belt and a working knowledge of the things we do here at Thrive.
Jr. Interactive Designer:
We are looking for a "sofa king awesome" web designer that creates work that turns heads and wins clients. You'll work on a variety of digital media efforts like web design, mobile design, online contests, Facebook enhancements, and email marketing campaigns.
Desired Attributes:
Applicants must have real-world working experience, and display a passion for both creative concepts and production. We’re looking for people with visual talents in graphic design, animation, 3D, illustration, film-making, interactive, and any combination thereof. They can work collaboratively with anyone in the company from an Intern to the head of the company. No divas or drama queens, we're a great group of low-maintenance peeps, and we aim to keep it that way.
Technical Skills:
- Strong abilities in software that may include Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Flash, Final Cut Pro etc.
- Sense of humor, maturity, vision, humility, curiosity, enthusiasm.
- 1+ year(s) experience; Bachelor of Fine Arts preferred.
Front-End Developer:
Thrive Internet Marketing is seeking a creative coder who "thrives" in a small-group environment. Must be proactive, collaborative and low-maintenance. Having a point of view about your work is essential.
Desired Attributes:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a creative agency
- You have a strong passion and interest for web and new technologies
- You are a problem solver who always seeks the most effective solution and loves technical challenges
- You can both function independently and work well within a team
- Experience engaging in rapid prototyping and product development
- Possess strong interest for design, user experience, interface architecture
Technical skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Familiar with HTML5 APIs and CSS3 features
- Have worked with Javascript frameworks like JQuery
- Experience working with web services and APIs like Twitter, Facebook Graph, Instagram or Google Maps etc.
- Understanding of Object-oriented programming
- Understanding of AJAX
- Experience developing within a team and using version control like Git or SVN
- Have working knowledge of server-side languages like PHP and MySQL
- Experience with standard CMS tools
Other technical skills that are not necessary, but would be awesome:
- Have working knowledge of mobile software development (iOS, Android)
